Crozes-Hermitage Les Pierrelles 2014

Tasting notes

Cherry-red with garnet highlights, this wine shines attractively.

From the outset the nose is very open, a basket of fresh fruit, of blackcurrants, raspberries and juicy pomegranate.

The first taste is a delight, gentle and flattering. As always with this cuvée, suppleness dominates from the attack. The fine, silky tannins augment the volume in the palate and the sensation of pleasure. The finish is long, presenting a nice balance, with no heaviness.

This delicate wine is already very nice. It can be opened from now on simply for pleasure; and why not as an aperitif, as it requires almost no accompaniment. If, on the other hand, it is destined for the table it will marry well with roasted poultry, rabbit or offal dishes.
