Crozes-Hermitage Roche Blanche 2012

Tasting notes

A bright, clear old-gold-coloured wine with silvery glints.

The nose is open, very expressive and has great complexity. The special terroir allows the grapes to accumulate and concentrate the fresh verbena and star anise notes along with the more floral hawthorn and acacia blossom.

The palate is full and rich. The flavours already perceived in the nose persist in retro-olfaction. The sucrosité is not at all a distraction as the minerality, also perceived in the nose, and forms a beautifully balanced whole.

This wine demands our complete attention to attain the perfect blend of tenderness, strength and balance in the same bottle.

Wait between 2 and 4 years before drinking with white river fish with lemon or saffron sauce. For example, trout with almonds, zander, escargots in puff pastry or even seafood-stuffed poultry.
