Hermitage blanc 2011

Tasting notes

A beautiful yellow colour with pale golden glints. The wine is very clear with a shining brightness.

The nose is immediately complex and powerful, fine and balanced. At first the white flowers appear, then ripe white fruit; quince, white peach with beeswax and citron notes.

The palate is both dense and fresh; no limpness nor tension, the perfect balance found in all great white wines. Then we taste all the richness of the wine, the lightly candied fruit, touches of vanilla and dried fruit. This fat, voluminous wine is creamy, full and long and the finish is balanced, with citrus, zest and bergamot notes.

This Hermitage is a great example of an excellent year for Rhone Valley white wines.

To be drunk in good company at dinner parties and special occasions. Scallops, sweetbreads or truffles will be the perfect accompaniment, and do justice to its qualities.
