Hermitage rouge 2012

Tasting notes

Intense red with deep purple glints. The wine is dark and deeply coloured.

Black fruit dominate the nose. But the complexity makes itself felt once the wine has had the time to breathe and open. Then there are notes of vanilla, sweet spices such as clove and nutmeg, empyreumatics like cocoa bean and mocha and finally a floral touch with carnations and peonies which give the wine an almost ethereal touch.

On the palate our Hermitage is very present, massive, and able to hold its own. Roasted notes take over. The tannins are present, supporting the whole and giving volume. They are powerful yet smooth, very fat and have a lot of volume; a wonderful harmony with great richness.

Wait patiently for another 5 to 8 years before being able to take full advantage of its potential. Drink with game, marinated meats or truffles which will contain and reveal the wine.
