Crozes-Hermitage Roche Blanche 2014

Tasting notes

A beautiful pale yellow colour with glints of silver green. The wine is bright and glistens.

Immediately the nose has voluble candied lemon, macadamia, and pecan reminiscent of its fermentation and maturation in oak barrels. Then, as the wine breathes, more notes of candied lemon peel, citron jam, and bergamot bring to mind the richness of fruit picked ripe from the tree. To complete the aromatic palette, delicious apricot and ginger give a delightful, almost spicy touch.

The palate is full-bodied and structured with a fresh finish. The equilibrium, the balance between power and smoothness, already gives this cuvée a harmonious character. Nevertheless, wait another 2 or three years to benefit from all it has to offer.

To drink on special occasions with monkfish, river fish or langoustines.
