Hermitage rouge 2010

Tasting notes

Deep red with dark purple highlights. The wine is so full of colour it is almost black.

The nose is very complex, initially with black fruit and notes of vanilla, soft spices (cloves and white pepper), then, after it has had a chance to breathe, revealing more balsamic and empyreumatic notes like cocoa and mocha.

This wine has massive, solid presence on the palate. Roasted coffee notes gain an upper hand. The well-marked tannins provide structure and volume. They are powerful yet smooth, very rich with a lot of volume. A beautiful harmony and enormous richness.

Wait patiently for another 6 to 7 years before taking full advantage of its potential. Drink with venison, hare, wild boar, marinated meats or truffles.
