Crozes-Hermitage Cuvée Louis Belle 2012

Tasting notes

Beautiful deep, intense cherry-red colour with glints of ruby.

The rich, intense nose opens quickly with floral notes, powdered rose, peony and iris root. Then, as the wine breathes, smoky and flinty scents, black pepper and white pepper express themselves in a complex and expansive fashion.

The palate is full, deep and structured. The tannins are silky, smooth and well present, foretelling an auspicious future. All-in-all the palate is long with pronounced black fruit.

This wine, already promising so much, can be enjoyed over the next 5 years with small gamebirds, like woodcock, or simply with tender, slowly-cooked meat. As ever, this wine is a tribute to fine winemaking and is in the image of the domaine; precise, sincere and honest.
