Crozes-Hermitage Cuvée Louis Belle 2011

Tasting notes

A beautiful bright, clear, cherry-coloured wine with glints of vivid crimson.

Almost creamy, this wine opens with ripe black and red berries. As the wine breathes, the sweet spices (nutmeg and cinnamon) so typical of this cuvée intensify their presence. Then the careful élevage reveals itself, with soft, smooth vanilla pod, cocoa cream and cedar notes. A light empyreumatic touch enhances the complexity. The aromatic profile is a blend of indulgence and smoothness.

The palate is full, smooth and silky. The well-integrated tannins support the whole and give a long finish. This tribute cuvee will keep its promise and a bright future is assured.

It should be enjoyed in the next 5 years with suckling lamb, small game birds, or pigeon, braised or in ballotine.
